Moscow will host the Energy Exhibition and Conference on Safety and Protection in Energy SAPE-2010 at the ELECTRIFICATION Exhibition Pavilion during April 13–16, 2010. This event will be held by the International Sustainable Energy Development Center and ELECTRIFICATION Exhibition Pavilion during April 13–16, 2010, as part of the nation energy policy of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. The general sponsor of the exhibition and conference is FGC UES.
The SAPE 2010 exhibition participants will include the largest manufacturers and consumers of modern protection equipment, materials, and technologies. The exhibition will present protective means, devices, instruments, and equipment, including rescue equipment and fire-prevention machinery and equipment.

- The exhibition participants include leaders in the field of labor safety and protection: Energokontrakt will present a new series of products an antiencephalitic suit, a fire-fighter suit, a welder suit, a thermal-resistant cloak, thermal-resistant shirts and a sweater, heavy-duty thermal-resistant gloves, and new footwear models; Asia Holding will present individual protective equipment and special footwear; Occupational Safety Institute, Autonomous Non-Profit Organization, specializes in providing professional industrial safety services; Elektropribor, Krasnodar, will present electrical protection equipment; ETO Trade House will present protective equipment and devices for operating 0.4-220-kv electric installations; Vostok-Servis-Spetskomplekt will present ELEKTRA thermal-resistant special clothing and accessories; FGC UES Subsidiary MES Center will demonstrate, among other products, a device for safe switch-on, fault localization, and diagnostics for overhead transmission lines; Rofa Russia will demonstrate special clothing protecting against electric arc, oil products, and open flame. The Ural Center for Occupational Safety for Power Engineers will demonstrate modern electrical protection equipment: grounding systems, emergency grounding devices, detachment devices, cable spiking devices, pliers, voltage meters and indicators), fire evacuation equipment; Zavod RETO will present electrical protection means, as well as spare parts, appliances, and devices designed for electric installation maintenance; Ekkoprom will present individual protective equipment; NELA-Inform will present comprehensive integrated equipment for corporate occupational safety services, magazines, and methodological literature, CD and DVD Electronic Libraries for Occupational Safety Engineers, as well as Electrosafety-related signs and posters. Galo will present Gosha Simulator designed for comprehensive mass first-aid training. The exhibitors will present occupational safety products for occupational safety and human life and health protection.
At present, more than 300 companies that are interested in sharing experiences, entering into contracts, presenting new labor safety and protection innovations, and discussing and solving relevant issues have been registered to for participate in the SAPE 2010 Exhibition and Conference.
Registered conference participants include executives and experts of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation; Ministry of Public Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation; Federal Service for Labour and Employment; Federal Service for Ecological, Technical and Atomic Supervision; FGC UES, IDGC Holding, MOESK, INTER RAO UES, RusHydro, Gazprom Neft, Electricity Sector Employers’ Association, MOEK, OGK-1, OGK-4, TGC-11, Academy of State Fire Fighting Service, Non-Profit Partnership Union of Power Engineers, All-Russian Research Institute of Labor Safety and Economics, and some other labor safety and protection organizations.
The panel discussions under the SAPE 2010 Conference will feature executives of leading Russian and overseas companies, addressing labor safety and protection issues pertaining to the energy industry, as well as representatives of government institutions, the financial sector, and the scientific community. The SAPE 2010 round tables, with the participation of chief executive of core entities, will discuss: State Occupational Safety Management, National and Regulatory Requirements for Occupational Safety, Assessment of Workplaces, Personnel Management, and Electrosafety. Under the Conference, it is planned to hold a meeting of the Operation Center for Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP Accident Management, chaired by S. Yu. Svetlitsky, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, and S. A. Mikhailov, Director of the Department for National Energy Policy and Energy Efficiency. The meeting will adopt the Russian Ministry of Energy’s purpose-oriented program “Modernization and Enhancement of Safety for Hydraulic Power Plants.”
Information support for SAPE 2010 is provided by more than 20 central and sectoral mass media. The SAPE 2010 event will be covered by accredited journalists from leading business publishing entities, information agencies, television and radio entities, and specialized mass media. During the Exhibition and Conference period, the Press Center of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation will operate on the SAPE 2010 exhibition premises to support and help journalists of the federal and regional mass media. Interested mass media can be accredited by the Press Center of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
It is expected that the 4-day exhibition will be visited by five thousand experts: chief engineers of companies operating in the fuel and energy sector, heads of organizations and business owners, federal officers, representatives of Russian trade unions and municipal and regional administrations, representatives of state supervision and control authorities and research institutions and center, employees of occupational safety services, and representatives of sectoral and central mass media.
The ELECTRIFICATION Exhibition Pavilion will become during April 13–16, 2010, a business venue for occupational safety experts. Exhibition participants are expected to enjoy new product presentations, special clothing demonstrations, special literature sales, expert consultations, and discussions with colleagues.
